Rafting Trip on the Arkansas River

River Rafting

July 29th, we headed up to Leadville where we met our Nova Guides to raft the Arkansas River, specificially Brown's Canyon for a full day raft trip. Lynette, Sylvia, Marilyn and I were up for high adventure. What a fun day we had--it was beautiful and we had enough "rapids" to make it interesting!

Touring Raleigh and NC Countryside

North Carolina State Capitol in Raliegh
Beautiful countryside on our way to purchase some ice cream and the local dairy.
It was beautiful!
Sorry--I need to figure out how to turn this picture--but this is on the porch of the ice cream store in the middle of the countryside that was pretty much packed. That is how good the ice cream was!
