This is Doug's "apartment" in San Felipe, Chile. Those are his ties--can you believe how many that he has? I think this is the front room but there is no place or room for clothes in the bedroom.
There are four elders that live in the "apartment". Looks like fun!

2012 Hut Trip

Thursday, Friday and Saturday we hiked in to "High Lonesome Hut" at about 9300 ft elevation. The hike (snowshoes and skis) was about 3 miles in. Thursday evening we had a fantastic three-course dinner (all packed in) of cheese fondue, pork loin roast and dessert of chocolate fondue. Friday we went on a three-hour snowshoe and ski tour and then back to the hut for sledding, another delicious dinner, jokes and knitting (for the ladies of course). Saturday the sun came out for one last sledding and then walking out with the wounded.

More Snow!!

I absolutely love a big snow storm! Ric isn't so sure--he did all the shoveling!!

At the Rodeo with the DeLange's!

Denny and Marilyn invited us to go to the rodeo with them. It was the wonderful Western Stock show in Denver and they had tickets to the best seats I have ever had the chance to sit in at a rodeo. We were right there where they came out of the chutes. It was very exciting and a lot of fun. We are lucky to have such wonderful and generous friends!

First snow of the season!!

9 inches of heavy wet snow. I hope the trees will be okay!!
